although the series is much older than me, I really enjoyed all these episodes and now am wishing that the show wasn’t canceled or that some big name in the industry sees the greatness and potential in making a new starlost with modern effects.

This becomes a gripping episode as it progresses. Devon the rationalist really shines. I can see why he would be a rebel in an irrational world.
As a social allegory, this story reminds me of Plato’s Stepchildren from Star Trek. There is a disturbing theme here. I think Devon would be with me on this.
