Can someone edit something really quickly? homework :) thanks?

prompt was to explain an experience and its influence on you.

There is a point in everyone’s life that a certain experience forms their character. I believe my visit to the Smithsonian Museums in Washington could be defined as a life changing experience. I had walked into those buildings as a child and walked out a more mature individual. My father was persistent that we visit the museums, but I was reluctant. Museums had never been appealing or exciting. However, I was surprised to enjoy the self guided tour and looked at every item with unreserved enthusiasm. Not only was the museum tour a memorable part of my vacation; it changed my way of thinking, helped to make a career choice and find a hobby I could enjoy.

To begin with, the trip to the museum widened my view of the world. It extended my windows of opportunity and I was no longer limited to what I could see in a small town like Richmond Hill. Every painting and exhibit showed a new perspective of the world. These artists and inventors were not limited to their surroundings. Their imagination took them to places far beyond their norm. They were never satisfied with what their small towns offered. They reached for things far greater. This was a great motivation to believe that there is nothing in life I could not do. It was an inspiration to pursue dreams beyond the normal expectation. I was encouraged to follow in their footsteps. They made advances to civilization that impressed the world with their ingenuity. I believe I can do what they have done.

What I learned from this trip became a manifestation in my nature. The choices I make, the values and standards I have today are reflective of this. I became a more courageous, optimistic, persistent and confident individuals through these realizations. These are attributes that I admire. These attributes can change my society and even the world. This was the first and perhaps most important effect of the trip.

In addition, the visit to the Museum of Natural History allowed me to make a firm decision about my career choice in the future. My interest in human anatomy and biology had begun at an early age. I had always been keen to extend my knowledge of the sciences and the museum fueled my interest even more. It was fascinating walking through the massive collection and every step of the way learning a new and interesting fact. The research pursued and the effort put into the museum was awe inspiring. I had understood that I wanted to pursue an education where I learned more about evolutionary history, animal and human biology. The museum confirmed that my choice was the best one.

Lastly, seeing centuries of art in the galleries had significant benefits to discovering my hobbies. Visiting the National Art Gallery I realized that my fascination extended further than the sciences. I was principally impressed by the impressionist gallery. My curiosity in art is still dominant today and in my opinion it will play a great part through out the rest of my life. Primarily, I have made a conscious choice to keep art as a past time rather than a main career choice. I will still visit museums in hopes of great experiences and good times. Additionally, I hope to spend sometime expressing my creativity through art as well. However my keen persistence to learn more about the sciences governs my choice to pursue a career in that field.

What I had gained from this trip became a part of the qualities that make me the person I am today. They changed my philosophy of looking at the world. Surprisingly, the visit helped me distinguish my future career plans and hobbies. To this day, whenever I visit a museum, I keep a record of it. I buy their book and keep notes and sketches of the new knowledge I have gained. This collection is one of my most valued treasures. Every time I see them I feel a little stronger.

It is good as is, except there is no real description as to how it reflects your present day situation, otherwise, it is good
