You need to practice a lot more and develop your own style, this sort of drawing is hardly unique. Practice lots, try other styles, develop your own. That’s the only way to become a good drawer.
As a beginning, you have potential, but don’t be afraid to deviate from the norm!

I am looking for something inspirational and not copyrighted. Something that shows that going green is important.

Please help, im having an artist block.

You can make something artistic out of garbage, especially non-recyclables. There are some books on the topic. Here:

Just click on the pictures to "look inside" for ideas. I have the first book "1000 Ideas for Creative Reuse: Remake, Restyle, Recycle, Renew". There are so many cool projects in that book. Perhaps your local library will have it.

I was born in Togo, West Africa, in a place where life is valued differently compared to most areas of the Western world. It has its own radiating culture and spirit expressed through various forms of art but it is also a place full of suffering and struggle. Growing up without most ‘normal’ things a child would have and being an only child I often occupied myself exploring nature or drawing. Drawing to me was my meditation, a time where the past and the future was a blur and only being in the present mattered, a blissful state where I found my true self and was allowed to explore it as well as express it.
Coming from a family which constitutes its own little world, encompassing several nationalities and wherein we communicate freely in English, Spanish and French I was very privileged to have the chance to travel. As I grew up a traveler, studying in different countries not only has made me more self-reliant, mature and disciplined but also very knowledgeable in many areas of the arts. Visiting museums, galleries and meeting local artists in places ranging from China, Rwanda to Venice each with their own impactful contribution to the art world I have been able to teach myself and explore its interesting world always with the notion of questioning “What is art?”
As an artist I’ve struggled many times minimizing detail and simplifying my work, there is always so much I want to say, so much I’d like to tell the viewer. Conveying emotion is my passion in art, creating art that speaks to the heart as well as forces oneself to question the self, the elements and/or society. I have a strong interest in learning in a more studious detailed way its craft, its history and how I could gear my knowledge and skill towards a professional career. While thoroughly researching about universities across the globe and taking continuing-ed courses at SVA during my year off from school to gain work experience in NYC SVA is most definitely my match.
The imagination of an artist and how they unfold it in the physical is incredibly fascinating to me. Being able to creatively convey a visual representation and interpret an idea is always a challenge. This is why I’d like to pursue a career in being a concept artist/ illustrator to challenge myself and by professors at SVA who will help me help myself get to my dream.
Coming back to the question of “What is Art”? It is everything and it is anything. If what you can imagine can be turned into art then what is thought in the mind itself is an art already the only thing is once it’s formed into the physical that’s when a world of ultimate fascination and communication opens up. It is who brings it out of the mind and births part of their soul- their idea that they are then called an artist. I’d like to be fully engaged in this world of fascination and talent and become a true artist at SVA.

Your essay sounds great so far, but I do have some suggestions. To make these suggestions easier to understand, I have copied your essay and put the suggestions near the places that the suggestions are mentioning.

Instead of only mentioning this, maybe you could, at the beginning of your essay, write a descriptive instance of your experience when you draw. It does not have to be very long. One paragraph may be all that you need. This may help capture the reader’s attention better.

They are lovely to look. You are on the right track.
Try to deliberate your arm a little more.Don’t just sitting and drawn, standing position will give u more freedom of expression. You will see the whole new verizon.

My best friend is an artists and her muse, the subject for all her art, has been the man she loves. He left her and now she has stopped making art. she believes that if her muse is gone she cant make art. I would like to help her find a new muse, she is an amazing artists. her mediums are oil paint, charcoal, pastels and regular sketching

I always find inspiration in nature. You should try to get her to sketch a landscape.

just try to avoid using the word "normal" even if in brackets. there’s nothing in the world that could be seen as normal to anyone. it’s all relative!
and i would avoid to describe Togo as a place full of struggle, pain and so on: let’s give it back its pride! are you really sure you (and i) live in the best part of the world? do you think we are better than eastern and southern people? is our life happier than theirs? i won’t say so
just try to describe places not by giving your personal opinion, but be objective: that would give your essay a smarter tone.

At my mum’s engagement dinner the other day my future step-dad asked my brother what he’s planning to do this year. My brother replied "I’m doing my masters and working at the gallery" (his masters degree is in Fine art).
My Mum was a bit drunk and yelled out across the table "when are you going to get a real job?". It really upset him. He sat there and took while she told the guests at the party that he’s never taken his future seriously and that she thought he’d figure out there’s no future in art by now. It made me so angry! Even my step-dad was really embarrassed and told her that she was being inappropriate.

She’s never been supportive of him becoming an artist. He’s really talented and he can make it, it wasn’t easy to get into this course! He’s been working towards it since he finished school.

My brother says that she’s just trying to protect him from failure, but he’s not going to fail! The way she’s going about it hurts him so badly, and I can see that although he tries to love her and be respectful that deep down he really resents her.
How can we get my mother to accept that it’s his life and be supportive no matter what?
She’s not an ass. She looks after us. It’s just this one thing.

You can’t really. You can only accept your mother for who she is. Your brother has done this, and he is following his dreams no matter what your mother says. Good for him!

A lot of times when a parent acts like this, it is because they are looking back over their own life and seeing their own failures. They are angry at themselves, not the kid who is succeeding. Remember she is a human being, and she can only see life through the experiences she has had and the feelings that go along with them. Forgive her. And support your brother. He is smart to take his dreams and make them reality, he will be happy with our without your mothers approval.

Remember this when you go forward to make your life decisions. You need to do what makes you happy, not what makes mom happy. You have to live your own life, not the life she would lead for you. Your brother is a great example of this. And yeah, it might hurt what she says…. but at least she is saying she cares, right? Maybe not in the motherly "I love you" fashion, but in some fashion, she is angry because she worries about her son. Try to see that side of it.

I want to use those wall art sticker letter things to put them on the wall behind my bed. Im mainly looking for just a verse or the chorus or something.

If wind and rain don’t scare you, this country is made for you !!
Indeed, you can’t be sure what the weather will be like, because it changes all the time ! You can wear a T-shirt the morning and a raincoat the afternoon…
If you love only gastronomy, you can stay in France, but if you like things like pizzas and hamburgers, you won’t have any problem fitting in.
However, you won’t be disappointed by the landscapes ! Everything is green !! In the countryside there are a lot of fields, ( with sheep obviously !! ), little hills, lakes, woods … It’s very absolutely beautiful … If you love nature, you will enjoy !
In this country, there are not a lot of cities, but there are many little and pretty towns. If you go to the suburbs, you will see many identical houses, but, after all, it’s like in some areas of France.
Dublin, the Capital of the Republic of Ireland, is very interesting. There are many old buildings, museums, shops, parks etc. In the town center, the streets are very animated and it’s very pleasant to go for a walk.
In this city, there are a lot of museums. In the National Gallery of Ireland ( the entry is free ), you will see many paintings from the 14th to the 20th century .
The National Museum contains the most prestigious collection of art object in gold from prehistory of Europe, and a lot of things from the Middle Ages and Celtic.
Their national day is St Patrick’s day, on 17th March. It celebrates the death the Patron Saint of Ireland, who was born Scottish and was kidnapped by the future king of Ireland. St Patric died at the age of 76.
There are two official languages : The Irish and the English
Irish people of Eire have their own president, Mary MacAleese, and they are not obedient to the Queen of England.
People are very welcoming and nice in Ireland. Children love staying outside ( when it isn’t rain ! ) whereas adults love drinking beer in pubs. Irish people are often red-haired with blue eyes and many freckles. The majority of people follow the same fashions than in France even if, like in every country, there are eccentric ones who has blue hair and wear flashy clothes!
The emblem of Ireland is the shamrock of their national color is green.

I am interested in becoming a curator for the Museum of Modern Art in New York City because some of my favorite childhood memories have formed around their beautiful exhibits. My personality has shaped around art work and my love for artist’s work and meticulous yet inspiring out of the box thinking would guarantee me a rightful job as a curator. I think I would be good at presenting a collection of artwork to the public in a new and interesting way.

I want to narrow down my options for the future and in doing so I have to be practical and eliminate some crazy dreams of mine. If those who might be informed or have had experience in this subject, please fill me in with the basics of my career requirements for becoming a curator. If i decided to pursue this career in the art specialization, how could I achieve this in the most efficient way?

Once I had as my teacher in a Concentrated Humanities Class, the former Director of The Ringling Art Museum, in Sarasota, Florida. He went on to become the Director of a Planitarium in Austin, Texas. His education was at the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. Chicago is a Great city, the Third Largest in the US with many fine Artistic and Educational Facilities. He had a double major, in both Celestial Mechanics Physics, and in Art History. His Final Exam had 362 Points, and I got 360 of them. I studied the Piano in grade, jr High and High School, and knew a lot about the History of Music, and could pick up a new piece of Classical Music and play it right off. My Favorite Book was then the Iliad (The Wrath of Archilles) and later "The Book of Amos," and "The Book of Mathew," also "Deuteronomy, Jesus’ Favorite Book." Ancient Greek Sculpture and Architecture took up its most talented Artists. Art History is the basis of these jobs, with Art Technology added on. Museum Curator ship also covers Archeology and Anthropology. So you will need these courses also. But, unless you are really deep into these subjects, you might not be happy in them.
